Ingredients

  • For the Red Sauce:
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ lb ground beef or Italian sausage

  • 1 cup marinara or pasta sauce

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • For the Cheese Filling:
  • ¾ cup ricotta cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (plus extra for topping)

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp dried basil or chopped fresh parsley

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • For Assembly:
  • 24 wonton wrappers or 6 cooked lasagna noodles, cut to fit muffin cups

  • Olive oil spray or brush

Directions

  •  Make the Sauce:
    Add olive oil in a skillet and heat it. Sautéed onion and garlic shall be soft. Add raw meat and then cook until browned. Add marinara sauce and seasonings and stir-fry. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
