Ingredients

  • For Chicken Filling:

  • 250g (about 1/2 lb) boneless chicken breast or thigh, diced

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced

  • 1 green chili, finely chopped (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp red chili sauce

  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup

  • ½ tsp vinegar or lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • ½ tsp red chili flakes (optional)

  • For Pizza Dough (Homemade Option):
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp instant yeast

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • ¾ cup warm water (approx.)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • For Toppings:
  • ½ cup pizza sauce or chili garlic sauce

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • ½ onion, sliced

  • ½ capsicum (bell pepper), sliced

  • Fresh cilantro or parsley (optional)

  • Chili flakes and oregano (to taste)

Directions

  • For Making Chicken Filling
  • Heat up oil in a cookware.
  • Garlic and green chili need to be sauteed for 30 seconds until aromatic.
  • Add diced chicken to it and cook it to a white colour and almost done.
  • Add soy sauce, chili sauce, ketchup, vinegar, salt and pepper.
  • Simmer for 5-6 minutes or until the sauce is ready and coats the chicken.
  • Top it off with chili flakes. Take a cool little way.
  • For Making Pizza Dough
  • In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar and yeast. Leave it to sit for 5-10 mins until frothy.
  • Add flour and salt. Combine all these ingredients to make a sticky dough.
  • Knead the olive oil for 5-7 minutes until it is smooth.
  • Cover with the wet cloth and leave it to rise till it doubles in size (about an hour).
  • Stretch the dough and press it together into the shapes of circles that fit your skillet.
  • Cooking Pizza in Cast Iron Pan
  • Take a cast iron pan and warm it on a low flame, drizzle some oil on it.
  • Put the rolled out dough on the pan and command it to 2-3 minutes without lid so the bottom will settle.
  • Turn and cook the coal on the other side for 2 minutes.
  • Take off heat and add your toppings.

  • Place pieces of pizza base on a cooked pan, and cover with tablespoon pizza sauce.
