Best Bread for Cucumber Sandwiches
A good sandwich of cucumber depends on the proper bread. The following are the most appropriate:
- White sandwich bread: A cuddly, traditional sandwich bread; makes perfect tea sandwiches.
- Whole wheat or multi grain bread: Good source of fiber and nutty nutty flavors.
- Sandwich bread sliced thin: Make sure that the subtle cucumber kicks do not get overpowered.
- Crustless bread: This type is used because it looks good when served as party-type mini sandwiches.
Pro Tip: Toasting the bread lightly prevents the bread from becoming mushy without hardening the bread either.
Best Cucumbers for Tea Sandwiches
To achieve the best texture and look in your sandwich:
- England cucumber or Persian cucumber– they are non-seeded and the skin is thin.
- Peel it off, where necessary, and also in case of regular cucumbers.
